Position Overview
The selected candidate will serve as the financial lead for various programs, beginning with initial business quotes and continuing throughout the production lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the collection of all program costs necessary for capital quotes and assess their reasonableness.
- Calculate production part costs for new initiatives and ensure these figures are maintained throughout the program's duration.
- Generate cost estimates and customer quotes for production parts, prototypes, deviations, and tooling throughout the program's lifecycle, managing the process for securing customer purchase orders.
- Maintain management reports regarding product design and development (PDD) costs, production parts, prototypes, tooling, and pre-production expenses for assigned programs.
- Track selling prices and compute monthly sales accruals for production components.
- Review and authorize all cost modifications affecting program costs in master files.
- Participate as a member of the cross-functional team (CFT) for designated programs, ensuring that all financial activities are effectively managed and reflected in the Financial Panel charts.
- Handle accounts receivable from customers regarding pricing discrepancies related to incorrect pricing, currency, effective dates, and quantities.
- Develop fiscal sales and cost of sales budgets based on Magna's planning volumes.
- Occasionally communicate with customers to clarify information related to requests for quotes (RFQs) or similar inquiries.
- Maintain all major and minor sales codes for designated programs.
- Create business cases for new initiatives.
- Assist in the development of tooling strategies.
- Maintain Cost Reduction Roadmaps.
- Minimal travel may be required.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- Completion of a community college diploma or certificate.
- 3 to less than 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Professional designation (CA, CGA, or CMA) is preferred.
