Nature of Work
The primary responsibilities of an employee in this role involve planning, organizing, and executing a variety of activities aligned with the educational objectives, aimed at promoting the holistic development of students in preschool and elementary settings while ensuring their health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement sports, cultural, leisure, and recreational activities, both indoors and outdoors, in accordance with the educational program and intervention strategies.
- Conduct research, utilizing various resources, to identify suitable activities and games for the group and for special events throughout the year; develop games and crafts tailored to the needs of the students.
- Assist students with dressing and undressing as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance.
- Support students during meal and snack times, ensuring adherence to hygiene and wellness protocols.
- Oversee the safety and supervision of students, following established conduct rules and safety measures; administer first aid and medications as per medical guidelines and school policies.
- Communicate with parents regarding student behavior and respond to inquiries, providing relevant information on a daily basis.
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the premises and maintain equipment and materials.
- Assist students with their schoolwork, fostering a conducive environment for homework and lessons, while respecting the teacher's instructions.
- Participate in meetings organized by the day care service technician regarding the operation of the day care service.
- Attend informational meetings for parents as requested.
- Contribute to the development of individualized education plans by sharing observations and making relevant suggestions for students with special needs, and collaborate with others to monitor student progress.
- Support the day care service technician with administrative tasks as required.
- Utilize computer systems and software as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Assist in training new day care service educators when needed.
- Perform any other related duties as required.
