**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at High Liner Foods. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve equipment-related issues and minimize disruptions to production.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in maintenance and repair.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance or repair role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, including pumps, motors, and conveyor systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve maintenance goals.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and tools.
