Restaurant Operations Manager

About the Role
The General Manager at Boston Pizza International Inc is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a casual dining restaurant. This individual must have exceptional communication skills, leadership experience, and the organizational skills needed to support a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the restaurant team to deliver exceptional Guest experiences while achieving business goals and budget expectations.
- Develop and implement marketing, advertising, public and community relations programs to attract Guests.
- Ensure that all team members have a positive and safe work environment, and contribute to a thriving workplace culture.
- Manage the restaurant's operations, including preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the Guest and team member experience, and to attract and retain top talent.
Requirements
- Proven leadership skills and ability to follow-through.
- Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel) and Point of Sale system.
- Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.
- Strong analytical/decision-making skills.
- Leadership skills – able to direct, coach and supervise a team.
- Strong business comprehension, including an understanding of budgets and operating costs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
- Customer service skills – able to exceed guest expectations.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
