Key Responsibilities- Consultation and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough consultations with patients to evaluate their physical and mental health, and develop effective treatment plans.
- Medication Management: Prescribe and administer medications and treatments as needed, ensuring accurate dosing and monitoring of patient responses.
- Patient Education: Provide patients with clear and concise information about their health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Coordination of Care: Work with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Counseling and Support: Offer emotional support and guidance to patients and their families, addressing a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.
- Certifications: Hold a valid College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP) and Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) designation.
- Licenses: Be licensed by provincial or territorial authorities and have completed the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II).
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Personal Qualities: Possess excellent written communication skills, flexibility, reliability, and a strong commitment to values and ethics.
- Work Schedule: Work a regular schedule of 30-40 hours per week, with occasional flexibility to accommodate patient needs.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
