We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development and Testing Professional to join our Technology Solutions Team at the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing the next generation of software applications to enable CMHC to achieve its strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Design, configure, and manage Azure Dev test environments and other testing environments to ensure seamless application development and deployment.
- Continuously enhance and optimize test automation processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Design, implement, and maintain scripts and automated testing solutions for Azure-based applications and services to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Collaborate with developers to promote testing best practices and drive test automation adoption, ensuring that our applications meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, refine acceptance criteria, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Design logically sound, readily maintained program structures based on program specifications to ensure efficient and secure software development.
- Complete complex application development projects, including the design and implementation of programs for production deployment.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in testing, programming, developing, and implementing business applications, with increasing complexity in application development.
- Experience in designing and implementing test automation for Azure-based applications.
- Expertise in business ecosystems, cloud-based systems (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT, with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations.
- Strong interpersonal and business competencies, including teamwork, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- A graduate degree or certificate in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.
- Technical certifications in application architecture, cloud development, and administration (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Developer).
