Job Title: Manager Communications and Marketing

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager Communications and Marketing to join our team at Mon Sheong Foundation (MSF). As a key member of our Development and Communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communications and marketing strategies to promote MSF's work and elevate its brand image.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement communications and marketing initiatives to promote MSF's work and elevate its brand image.
  • Oversee the preparation of written communications, marketing collateral, and various publications to support MSF's services, events, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Lead the creation of new websites to ensure sufficient functionality and support for MSF's services, events, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Manage social media accounts to enhance MSF's digital presence and engage with stakeholders.
  • Supervise mainstream media relations and media pitch activities to promote MSF's work and services.
  • Work closely with the Manager Event Management to coordinate and execute Foundation events and oversee the production of promotional materials and external communications to generate event publicity and coverage.
  • Collaborate with promotional partners, vendors, and service providers for marketing activities as needed.
  • Act as a liaison to facilitate understanding between MSF and the community.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, public relations, advertising, or equivalent.
  • Work experience in corporate communications and marketing, original writing and editing, and some public relations.
  • Strong English and Chinese communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to translate between the two languages.
  • Strong relationships with media across Canada.
  • Proven work experience in digital marketing.
  • Experience of contributing to fundraising proposals.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated proofreading skills.
  • Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and oversee multiple tasks.
  • Ability to think strategically.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Valid driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle.
