Job Summary

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Compass Canada. As a PDI Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and servicing new vehicles entering our fleet, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and service new vehicles upon delivery
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments as needed
  • Shuttle vehicles throughout our property
  • Assist the mechanic with vehicle maintenance and seasonal tire changes
  • Schedule and complete PDI activities on vehicles entering the fleet
  • Ensure all PDI's are captured and communicated to the mechanic
  • Complete all required maintenance tasks
  • Support administrative and parts ordering tasks as needed
  • Record discrepancies and sign acceptance slips for each vehicle delivered
  • Perform repairs and replacements with efficiency and accuracy
  • Detail and clean vehicles as required
  • Keep the shop area neat and clean
  • Operate tools and equipment safely
  • Report any safety issues to management
  • Test drive vehicles as required

About You:

We are looking for a candidate with 6 months of experience in an automotive repair environment. A valid G driver's license is required, and the ability to operate a manual transmission is an asset.
