We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our Digital Banking team at Scotiabank. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping us deliver innovative solutions to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Act as a bridge between multiple parties, including our business, control functions, technology partners, and engineering teams, responsible for delivering exciting products in the Digital Banking Unit.
- Help scale, enable, and drive online & mobile development excellence as our team continues to deliver innovative solutions to Scotia customers.
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
- Demonstrate an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
- Support one or more highly complex business processes.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst - need strong experience with requirement gathering and documentation creation.
- 5+ years' Agile Scrum experience - demonstrated understanding of Agile concepts, agile estimations, and ceremonies.
- 3+ hands-on experience with architectural diagrams.
- 3+ years of experience with microapps and Microservices architecture.
- 5+ years' combined experience JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, MS office suite, or equivalent tools.
- Financial software development organization experience is a nice to have.
- Experience facilitating onboarding processes.
- Experience with JavaScript.
