Position Overview

Impact Recruitment Ltd is seeking experienced CPA Accountants to join a reputable insurance brokerage. This role is designed for a dedicated Senior Financial Accountant who will take charge of the internal accounting functions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing outsourced accounting tasks, with a primary focus on Trust-related responsibilities, payroll oversight, and comprehensive month-end reporting and analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct preparation and detailed analysis of monthly income statements and balance sheets across various entities.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual working papers.
  • Oversee payroll management for both staff and contract personnel throughout the region.
  • Enhance and refine internal processes and procedures for improved efficiency.
  • Execute account reconciliations and manage month-end closing activities.
  • Supervise accounts receivable and credit management functions.
  • Manage accounts payable data entry and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate the preparation of cheques, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Prepare and file provincial and state tax documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a CPA designation.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a dynamic office setting.
  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Powerbroker or similar insurance-specific software is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and manage a high volume of transactions effectively.
  • Demonstrated capability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
