Job Overview

The Manufacturing Equipment Operator plays a crucial role in our production operations, focusing on the effective management and oversight of machinery that transforms raw materials into high-quality finished goods. This position encompasses various roles including Cut-off Operator, Phosphate Operator, Paint-line Operator, and Wood Shop Operator. Following comprehensive training and orientation, Operators are expected to adhere to safety and quality standards, maintain equipment, and ensure product compliance through rigorous inspection processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
  • Support the company's Vision, Mission, and Objectives.
  • Adhere to established quality system procedures and policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Capable of lifting weights up to 80 lbs.
  • Engage in continuous physical activities including lifting, bending, and twisting.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills.
  • Strive for improvements in line with operational performance metrics.
  • Lead and coordinate the workforce to uphold safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Operate forklifts as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent education.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Trades, or Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience in equipment operation and mechanical aptitude is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office, is valued.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high performance and goal achievement.
  • Ability to apply logical methods to solve complex problems effectively.
  • Trusted to communicate truthfully and constructively.
  • Capable of providing essential information for informed decision-making.
