Job Title: Clinical Educator

Grace Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Educator to join our team. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a vital role in planning, coordinating, and implementing the Winnipeg Critical Care Education Program.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver educational programs for critical care staff and course participants.
  • Collaborate with the WRHA Program Director Critical Care and the Critical Care Site Director to ensure program alignment with regional goals.
  • Maintain and provide proof of active registration with the professional body.
  • Participate in professional associations, such as the Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM).
  • Provide excellent clinical skills and demonstrate teaching skills.
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required.
  • Graduate of post-basic course in Intensive Care Nursing or recognized equivalent required.
  • Master's of Nursing preferred.
  • Eligible for academic appointment with University of Manitoba.
  • Active participation in professional associations preferred.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Knowledge of College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice.
  • Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses.
  • Canadian Association of Critical Care Nurses Standards of Practice.
  • Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
  • Nursing care knowledge related to critical care clinical area.
  • Personal Health Information Act (PHIA), Protection of Persons in Care Act, Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS), Principles of Routine Practices and other legislated acts.
  • Roles and responsibilities of members of the health care team.
  • Principles of delegation.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in the use of common software.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of adult education, the research process, program development and evaluation and health care theory and practice.
Physical Requirements:
  • Position involves physical activities such as standing, transferring and transporting patients and equipment.
