CB Canada, a well-established entity in the manufacturing sector, is in search of a Senior Financial Disclosure Analyst to enhance their finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute significantly to the finance division and the broader organization by aiding in the formulation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Compile internal financial statements, financial reports, specialized analyses, and management information reports.
  • Engage in the quarterly and annual financial statement closing process in line with IFRS standards, including drafting notes and information pertinent to interim and annual financial statements as well as the management report.
  • Oversee the translation process of consolidated interim and annual financial statements, management report, and earnings press release.
  • Perform financial analysis for monthly management reviews.
  • Facilitate daily interactions with external auditors.
  • Ensure adherence to IFRS and relevant Canadian and American financial information regulations.
  • Conduct accounting research, including the preparation of technical accounting memoranda that document analysis and conclusions, comparative analysis of financial reports, and special projects.
  • Monitor business activities to pinpoint future accounting and reporting challenges.
  • Participate in the assessment of strategic transactions, identifying and evaluating accounting and reporting concerns.
  • Review significant contracts for reporting implications.
  • Assist in preparing materials for audit committee meetings.
  • Establish and uphold appropriate internal controls and compliance for financial accuracy, ensuring robust governance through a solid financial control environment.
  • Recommend and coordinate enhancements to automated financial information and reporting systems for improved financial management.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA, CA designation.
  • A minimum of 3 years of audit and/or accounting experience in an accounting firm or public company. Experience with SEC-registered companies and/or PCAOB audits is a significant asset.
  • Stay updated on IFRS accounting positions.
  • Possess a rigorous approach and a willingness to contribute to establishing a strong foundation of financial reporting and controls.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is considered an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong technical research and writing skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize data query tools and generate reports.
  • Express opinions clearly (based on facts), escalate issues and ideas, and effectively manage conflicts.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
