Job Title: Reporting Analyst/Senior Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Reporting Analyst/Senior Analyst to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our Accounting and Reporting team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the closure of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end books in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Liaise with shared services to ensure journal entries, third-party accruals, and bank and balance sheet account reconciliations are performed on time.
  • Assist the Chief Accountant and Site Controller in preparing and presenting materials for monthly business reviews, budget, and forecasts with senior management.
  • Partner with Project Controllers and Industrial Controller to prepare and submit budget, forecast, and SFTR data in Teranga.
  • Assist the Site Controller with cash forecasting for external suppliers and employee salary, including data input in Teranga.
  • Assist in quarterly balance sheet reviews with detailed flux analysis and highlight potential risks and opportunities.
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure consistent with other sites in the region.
  • Support the AP SPOC between Shared Services and local Supply Chain/Sourcing organization to ensure timely clearance and approval of supplier invoices from Inspire system.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures to enhance the workflow of the department.
  • Key User of Concur. Support site employees with questions and troubleshooting of expense reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance with 5 years+ of experience in Finance/Accounting.
  • Holder of a CPA.
  • Knowledge of key tools and systems including SAP and Microsoft Office platforms.
  • Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS accounting guidelines.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced, matrix organization with a diverse work-team.
  • High energy and pro-active.
  • Analytical and critical thinking mindset.
  • Team player, sense of urgency, accountability.
