This is a full-time role based in Quebec.

If you are a seasoned electrical engineer specializing in building systems and are keen on the consulting engineering sector, GBI is the ideal place for you, as part of our dedicated building team in Quebec. Numerous challenges await your expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the planning, analysis, and assessment of electrical systems and equipment;
  • Perform feasibility assessments, short-circuit analyses, design evaluations, and operational studies of electrical components and communication systems;
  • Draft cost estimates and design proposals for electrical installations, along with comprehensive reporting;
  • Design circuits, components, networks, and electrical installations;
  • Oversee the installation, modification, testing, and functioning of electrical systems and devices;
  • Provide support to technicians, draftsmen, and junior to intermediate engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering;
  • Be a registered member of the Quebec Order of Engineers;
  • Have at least 8 years of pertinent experience;
  • Bring experience in consulting engineering in a comparable role;
  • Have a background in commercial and institutional projects;
  • Exhibit strong representation skills with clients;
  • Demonstrate proficiency in French, both spoken and written;
  • Familiarity with software such as Word, Excel, and lighting calculation tools (AGI32) as well as Arc Flash study software.
