Cloud Solutions Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to contribute to our AWS Support Cloud Optimization team, focusing on improving customer interactions and optimizing their AWS environments.
In this position, you will:
Take co-ownership of our Cloud Optimization service, enhancing features that significantly elevate customer experiences with AWS. Your contributions will play a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty, equipping clients with the necessary tools and insights to advance their cloud maturity and maximize their AWS investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions utilizing various programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, TypeScript, React).
- Work collaboratively with software managers, product managers, data scientists, and customer success teams to create innovative features that lead to measurable improvements in customer satisfaction and cloud optimization.
- Engage in on-call rotations to maintain operational excellence and reliability of the service, promptly addressing alarms, troubleshooting issues, and applying quick fixes as necessary.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to fellow engineers, conducting code reviews and facilitating skill development within the team.
- Contribute to the establishment and refinement of software engineering best practices, including testing frameworks, coding standards, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Stay informed about the latest AWS services, features, and technological advancements, integrating them into the cloud optimization solutions.
- Participate in project planning, estimation, and delivery to ensure timely and successful feature rollouts.
- Effectively communicate technical information and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship)
- 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, and scaling)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language
3+ years of comprehensive software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
