About the Role

  • Reporting directly to the Director, Procurement, you will be responsible for leading the strategic sourcing function to drive cost savings and process improvements.
  • With a strong background in procurement and inventory management, you will develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet business objectives.
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement process changes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will work with various stakeholders to negotiate contracts and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to meet business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement process changes.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure best value for the company.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sourcing strategies.
  • Collaborate with procurement and inventory management teams to optimize supply chain operations.

Requirements

  • University degree in Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in procurement and inventory management, preferably in a related field.
  • Experience with ERP systems and SAP is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with various stakeholders.
