Join Our Team as a Truck Driver

We are seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to become a vital part of our logistics team at Crosspoint Cartage & Storage Ltd. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Experience: Previous driving experience is an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport goods as part of a team or in a convoy.
  • Manage the loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Operate various types of trucks, including straight and articulated vehicles.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle, including tires, lights, and brakes.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch regarding transportation logistics.
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo, service hours, distances traveled, and fuel usage.
Required Certifications:
  • Valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
Documentation Skills:
  • Familiarity with accident reports, bills of lading, and driver logbooks.
  • Ability to complete inspection and maintenance reports.
  • Proficient in generating trip reports.
Truck Types and Equipment:
  • Experience with refrigerated and tractor-trailer units.
Communication Skills:
  • Ability to operate GPS and other navigation tools.
  • Experience with trip recorders and onboard computers.
Travel Experience:
  • Willingness to undertake long-haul and short-haul trips.
Weight Handling:
  • Capable of handling loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Personal Attributes:
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Additional Information:
