Position Details:
Holcim is seeking skilled Formwork Carpenters for our infrastructure operations. This role involves contributing to a significant construction project, where we are building a new maintenance operations facility. This position is expected to be full-time and non-seasonal, with a duration of approximately 2-3 years. We are looking for certified carpenters who possess experience in concrete formwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in heavy civil construction, including industrial, infrastructure, and roadwork projects.
- Execute forming, stripping, and placing of concrete.
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to provided specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints for concrete forms.
- Collaborate with fellow carpenters in the assembly of frameworks.
- Prepare layouts of forms based on provided drawings.
Required Qualifications:
- Willingness to travel to various worksite locations.
- Journeyman to Red Seal certification is advantageous.
- Experience in concrete finishing, sacking, and pouring is a plus.
- Prior experience with formwork on commercial or industrial projects is preferred.
- Strong team player with a focus on safety.
- Effective communication skills with colleagues and supervisors.
- Possession of CSTS-09 and other safety certifications is beneficial.
