Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

VTEK Consultants Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of electrical systems for our clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct feasibility studies, design operations, and performance research of electrical generation and distribution networks
  • Supervise technicians, technologists, programmers, analysts, and other engineers
  • Prepare material cost and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications
  • Supervise and inspect the installation and operation of electrical and electronic systems and equipment
  • Develop maintenance and operating standards for electrical and electronic systems and equipment
  • Investigate electrical or electronic failures
  • Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for construction or maintenance
  • Commission systems and components
Requirements:
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
  • 5 years or more of experience in electrical design and engineering
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
