Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in industrial equipment and machinery.
    • Repair or replace defective machinery parts as needed.
  • Installation and Setup
    • Install and set up new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper alignment and calibration.
    • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy machinery and equipment into place.
  • Fabrication and Manufacturing
    • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup using machining tools and equipment.
    • Operate power tools and equipment to fabricate and repair machinery parts.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Inspect and test machinery and equipment to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
    • Perform quality control checks on fabricated parts and equipment.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications
    • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification.
    • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement.
    • First Aid Certificate.
    • Hoisting and Rigging Training.
    • Forklift Operator Certification.
    • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Experience and Skills
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance and repair.
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
    • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
