Job Title: Nurse 2 Position

Shared Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse 2 to join our team in the Youth In-House Treatment Program (Compass). As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to youth clients engaged in addiction treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide client-centered care and support to youth clients in addiction treatment.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct assessments, provide counseling, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and care plans.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Psychiatric Nursing program or approved Registered Nursing program.
  • Active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Minimum one year experience in individual and group counseling, and one year nursing experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of current nursing theory and practice, as well as addiction treatment principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the addictions field and experience in mental health.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • French and Indigenous language skills are considered an asset.
