Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Nam & Kim Services Inc.

Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food and service meet quality control standards. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of staff, training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare food order summaries for the chef.
  • Ensure that all staff are aware of the establishment's culinary genres and are trained to provide excellent customer service.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines, and in a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods and walking.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a restaurant environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The role requires standing for extended periods and working in a physically demanding environment.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours:

The working hours are 30 hours per week.

Work Term:

The work term is permanent.
