About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at Edge Grain Enterprises. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of craftsmanship in our residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure accurate execution.
  • Material Preparation and Installation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to meet project specifications.
  • Structural Assembly and Installation: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure structural integrity and safety.
  • Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to complete the project.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments, including residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Work Environment

As a Carpentery Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work at heights, in noisy and dusty conditions, and outdoors.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in carpentry or a related field.
