Job Summary

The Government of Alberta is seeking a highly skilled Health Planning Project Lead to join our team. As a key member of our health facilities planning department, you will play a critical role in coordinating and guiding program ministries, stakeholders, and consultants in the development of business cases and preliminary planning processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Facilitation: Provide coordination, guidance, expertise, and direction to program ministries, stakeholders, and consultants in the development of business cases and preliminary planning processes.
  • Business Case Development: Support the development of business cases that consider the changing impacts of technologies and industry standards on the delivery of healthcare infrastructure.
  • Project Coordination: Work with consultants and project stakeholders to ensure solutions identified in business cases are well-defined and meet project requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the branch and department when providing consultation and guidance to project stakeholders.
  • Capital Planning: Support a wide range of capital planning activities, including land planning, assessment of existing infrastructure, and long-term strategic facility planning.

Requirements

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and project team members.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business principles and practices to support the development of business cases and preliminary planning processes.
  • Project Management: Proven project management skills to coordinate and guide project stakeholders and consultants.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and consider the changing impacts of technologies and industry standards on the delivery of healthcare infrastructure.
