Transportation Specialist

Job Summary:

Prairie South School Division No. 210 is seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to drive the morning and afternoon route on days students are in school. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of students within the school district.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive a school bus along a designated route, picking up and dropping off students at designated stops.
• Ensure the bus is clean and well-maintained, adhering to safety and maintenance standards.
• Monitor student behavior and report any incidents to the school administration.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure a smooth and efficient transportation experience.

Requirements:

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interactions with students, parents, and school staff. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and customer service.
