Key Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Establish reference points for installations
- Assemble and install components for refrigeration and air conditioning systems using hand and power tools
- Measure, cut, and connect piping using welding and brazing techniques
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems
- Conduct system start-ups and perform leak tests
- Recharge systems with refrigerants and calibrate controls
- Repair and replace components in refrigeration and HVAC systems
- May service equipment in refrigerated transport vehicles
- Provide customer support during service calls
- Coordinate with dispatch for scheduling and service efficiency
- Prepare work estimates for clients as needed
