Senior Copywriter Job Description

At Loblaw Companies, we're seeking a talented Senior Copywriter to join our team. As a key member of our marketing team, you'll be responsible for crafting compelling brand-right creative copy for Joe Fresh.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and edit accurate, regulatory-compliant, and persuasive customer-focused copy for Joe Fresh across print and digital channels.
  • Ensure that Joe Fresh's mission and vision are effectively communicated through storytelling and product education.
  • Translate the marketing team's business priorities into compelling content that resonates with our target audience.
  • Participate in and contribute to creative and cross-functional meetings to drive innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Coordinate all translation and approvals to ensure seamless execution.
  • Proofread and edit all consumer-facing content to maintain the highest level of quality and accuracy.
  • Campaign concepting for key apparel launches and partnership collaborations to drive brand awareness and engagement.
  • Provide a strong point of view on our brand voice and tone to ensure consistency across all marketing channels.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional English creative writing, editing, and grammatical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of fashion terminology, trends, and style to create content that resonates with our target audience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a strong work ethic and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Flexible and able to work independently or as part of a group, with a strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing across all channels, with a strong understanding of industry best practices and expertise in digital content creation and digital marketing.
  • Ability to present and justify creative ideas and concepts against the creative brief.
  • Knowledge of the marketplace and industries we operate in, creative strategy, and the competitive landscape.
  • A passion for big idea thinking and consumer-centric storytelling, with a portfolio of work demonstrating your ability to craft stories that bring content marketing to life for relevant audiences.
  • Fluency in digital best practices and content trends.
