We are seeking a highly skilled Development Officer - Alumni Engagement to join our team at Langara College. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with alumni, students, and the broader community to increase engagement and support for the college.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to increase alumni engagement and participation in college events and activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with alumni, students, and community partners to foster a culture of giving and support.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and pursue funding opportunities to support college initiatives.
- Develop and implement communication plans to engage alumni and stakeholders, including email campaigns, social media, and print materials.
- Provide excellent customer service to alumni, students, and community partners, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with the events team to plan and execute college events, including reunions, donor recognition events, and other activities that promote alumni engagement.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of alumni interactions, including contact information, engagement history, and giving history.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices in alumni engagement and development, attending conferences and workshops as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as communications, marketing, or non-profit management.
- Minimum of three years of experience in alumni relations, development, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with alumni, students, and community partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies to achieve goals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
- Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
