Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for improving mechanical system performance and efficiency
- Design and develop power plants, machines, and equipment to meet customer requirements
- Analyze dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems and structures to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Develop and implement maintenance standards, schedules, and programs to minimize downtime and optimize system performance
- Investigate mechanical failures and unexpected maintenance problems to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Plan and manage projects to design, develop, and implement mechanical power systems and equipment
- Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance projects
- Supervise and review the work of technicians, technologists, and other engineers to ensure high-quality designs and calculations
- Assess business opportunities and develop strategies to drive growth and profitability
- Develop and implement risk management plans to mitigate potential risks and ensure business continuity
- Lead and instruct groups to achieve project goals and objectives
- Commission systems and components to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in mechanical power systems design and development
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools
