Objective:
To supervise the safe and efficient operation of a concrete batch plant including concrete mixer drivers and plant maintenance to ensure delivery of quality product, timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

This is a contract position covering a maternity leave.

Responsibilities:

1. Batching: Responsible for scheduling concrete deliveries, providing pricing to customers, ordering raw material as required for production and ensuring accurate batching to produce a quality product.
2. Health and Safety: Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies.
3. HR/Coaching & Mentoring: Supervise drivers and maintain a positive work environment.
4. Environment: Demonstrate a commitment to meet/exceed environmental compliance.
5. Reporting: Submit reports on time to area administrator. Keep accurate records.
6. Customer Service: Communicate with customers, the Plant Manager and Sales Representative to ensure a positive customer experience.
7. Transportation & Logistics: Create efficient scheduling for routine maintenance and schedule jobs to ensure best use of fleet.
8. Administration: Manage inventory of materials and products, physical inventory counts, order materials, ensure payroll is accurate.
9. Operations Analysis and Action Tracking: Track performance, establish effective action plans and continuously improve the operations.
10. Plant Image: Maintain the plant in accordance with standard guidelines.

Qualification Profile:

1. Minimum 3-5 years supervisory experience.
2. Experience in the ready mix business preferred.
3. Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
4. Good organization and planning skills; able to multi-task and prioritize.
5. Self-motivated.
6. Available to work overtime as needed.
7. Customer service oriented.
