Plant Superintendent

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Superintendent to supervise the safe and efficient operation of a concrete batch plant. This is a contract position covering a maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Batching and Operations: Schedule concrete deliveries, provide pricing to customers, order raw materials, and ensure accurate batching for quality products.
  • Health and Safety: Commit to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies, demonstrating a commitment to meeting/exceeding environmental compliance.
  • Human Resources and Coaching: Supervise drivers, maintain a positive work environment, and ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Customer Service: Communicate with customers, the Plant Manager, and Sales Representative to deliver a positive customer experience.
  • Transportation and Logistics: Create efficient scheduling for routine maintenance and optimize fleet usage.
  • Administration and Reporting: Manage inventory, track performance, establish effective action plans, and continuously improve operations, submitting reports on time to the area administrator.
Qualification Profile:
  • Minimum 3-5 years supervisory experience.
  • Experience in the ready mix business preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Good organization and planning skills; able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Available to work overtime as needed.
  • Customer service oriented.
