WSP is currently seeking an Electrical Contract Administrator to join our Buildings Mechanical & Electrical Engineering division, in our Edmonton, AB office. You will be responsible for the Contract Administration related to Healthcare, Educational, Institutional and Commercial construction projects. You will work together with clients, municipalities and contractors on constructability reviews, quality assurance and resolving construction issues. What you can expect to do here:
- Administer and support contractual obligations on construction projects.
- Liaise with contractors, clients, design teams, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain responsibility for contract administration deliverables.
- Negotiate various contractual matters including price agreements.
- Attend construction meetings and conduct site reviews.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- CET, C. Tech designation, Electrical Engineering or Electrical Journeyman experience.
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Buildings infrastructure construction.
- Proven aptitude for estimating construction schedules and costs.
- Experience with progress payments and change orders.
- Good knowledge of construction best practices.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Good initiative and attention to detail.
- Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
- A valid Alberta driver license with an acceptable driving record.
