Our client is looking for a driven and enthusiastic Business Intelligence Developer who will use their extensive knowledge of BI tools, technologies and approaches to develop our client's next gen BI platform. You will be a technical expert capable of evolving their BI platform to meet the increasingly complex needs of the business. Responsibilities:

- Perform data analysis, modeling and profiling
- Conduct ETL development and create ETL processes
- Provide guidance on project design, report development, security and data mart design
- Build reports/dashboards for dissemination through a web based environment
- Play a very strong hands-on role in the implementation of the BI platform in an organization that has firmly adopted Agile and automated testing
- Initial deliveries will focus on providing self-service reporting and analysis capabilities to both internal and external customers

Qualifications:

- Very Strong SQL programming skills
- 5 years of experience delivering BI projects
- Breadth and depth of knowledge in BI concepts, methodologies and architectures
- Experience with at least one major ETL tool
- Experience with at least one major BI tool
- Previous experience with extensive and advanced business performance reporting and analysis
- Strong critical thinking; demonstrated ability to leverage data and draw meaningful conclusions and recommendations
- Strong personal integrity and work ethic; takes responsibility and likes to be held accountable for results; is constantly a top performer and can be counted on to exceed goals
- Very strong communication skills
- Highly adept at troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Passionate about BI and data

Nice to haves:

- Experience with Talend Data Integration and Data Quality products
- Talend Open Studio certification
- MicroStrategy experience
- Technical understanding of machine learning and its applications
- Experience with agile development
- Experience developing complex multi-tier software systems with JEE web application servers
- Experience with NoSQL databases
- Familiar with systems for big data like Vertica, Hadoop, Pig, and Zookeeper
