The Opportunity

Business is booming at Flexspring. We're seeking a collaborative, proactive, and problem-solving QA Specialist to join our R&D all-star team working on our Flexspring suite of web apps and services. Your Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee the development of test automation scripts within QA team, and perform code review.
2. Mentor Test automation engineers on good test automation practices.
3. Write, maintain, and execute functional, browser, performance, load, and stress tests.
4. Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
5. Design, implement, run and analyze results of test suites for the full gamut of test types: functional, integration, security, system, stress, load and robustness tests.
6. Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
7. Design, develop and execute automation scripts and programs using open-source tools.
8. Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
9. Perform thorough fix validation and verification when bugs are resolved.
10. Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
11. Monitor debugging process results.
12. Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and help colleagues implement fixes and solutions.
13. Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.

Required Skills And Attributes

1. B.Sc. or College degree in software engineering or computer science.
2. 3-5 years of experience working in Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
3. Knowledge and practical experience with Java, SQL, Rest Assured, JMeter, Selenium.
4. In-depth knowledge and practical technical application of TDD, BDD and CI/CD.
5. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
6. Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
7. Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
8. Solid knowledge of Java and query (SQL, Mongo, Elasticsearch etc).
9. Experience working with defect tracking systems such as Jira.
10. Self-motivated, with initiative and enthusiasm, willing to work hard within a remote team.
11. Autonomous with excellent self-learning skills.
12. Strong problem-solving skills, both technical and business.
13. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think outside the box.
14. Self-aware, motivated, coachable, ability to collaborate with all team members.

Nice to Have

1. Software development experience with Java, Groovy, REST API, SOAP Web Service, Graph QL.
2. Experience with performance and/or security testing.
3. Experience with load, robustness and system testing tools and procedures.
4. Experience with HR/Financial data integrations.
