The Township of Lanark Highlands is seeking an experienced Public Works Operations Supervisor. This position will assist the Manager of Public Works with infrastructure management, project management, asset management, supervision, and tender/contract preparation.
As the Public Works Operations Supervisor, you are a highly motivated individual with the skills and the ability to effectively lead and supervise staff and communicate appropriately with the public. The successful candidate will have post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, or a related field, and relevant experience. A minimum of three years of related municipal experience and five years of supervisory or leadership experience is requested. Being a Certified Member of OACETT, or the ability to obtain accreditation would be an asset.
Specific experience with civil construction, tendering and contract administration, road maintenance, assisting in producing tender documents, budgeting, and assisting with policy development is required.
The ideal candidate communicates clearly both in writing and orally, is knowledgeable about public works operations, has word processing/spreadsheet computer skills, and is familiar with regulations, policies, and guidelines as they relate to Municipal operations and infrastructure.
