Within our family-owned, fast-growing SME, you will play a key role in implementing efficient dispatching processes and route optimization to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and customer-oriented service. ?️ Main Responsibilities Planning & Dispatching: Organize daily routes for 20 drivers, taking into account priorities, deadlines, and delivery zones (Montreal, Sherbrooke, Quebec City). Route Optimization: Continuously analyze and improve routes to reduce costs (fuel, time), maximize productivity, and meet delivery commitments. Operational Follow-up: Manage unexpected events in real-time (delays, vehicle breakdowns, absences) and reassign tasks accordingly. Process Implementation: Develop and document standardized dispatching procedures to structure operations and support company growth. Communication: Act as the key point of contact between drivers, the logistics team, and management. Analysis & Reporting: Generate performance reports (travel times, successful deliveries, incidents) and recommend continuous improvements. SME Versatility: Collaborate closely with other departments (logistics, customer service, management) to support overall business needs in a hands-on, entrepreneurial way.? Profile Sought Proven experience in dispatching within transportation, distribution, or logistics. Strong knowledge of dispatching tools and software (GPS systems, TMS, Excel, etc.). Analytical mindset with the ability to implement efficient processes. Operational leadership and strong communication skills with drivers. High reactivity and organizational skills, capable of handling unexpected situations. Entrepreneurial spirit and versatility, comfortable in a family-owned SME environment. Excellent knowledge of the Montreal, Sherbrooke, and Quebec City regions. Availability for evening shift (5 PM to 2 AM). ? What We Offer A key and strategic role within a family-owned, growing SME.
