Operations Lead Hand

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Operations Supervisor and leading the day-to-day activities of our new warehouse in Mississauga. Your leadership will ensure operational targets are met, key performance indicators are consistently achieved, and service levels remain high. By driving efficiency, safety, and team performance, you will directly contribute to the overall success of our warehouse operations. Schedule: Monday to Friday Day shifts and afternoon shifts are available What You Will Do • Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure customer expectations and service levels are consistently met. •Monitor team performance against KPIs and support continuous improvement to meet operational targets. • Collaborate with the Operations Supervisor to optimize space utilization and adjust storage capacity in line with customer needs and best practices. • Support the Wave Planner and Dispatcher in resolving scheduling conflicts with internal teams and external transportation providers. •Ensure the operations team understands and delivers on customer requirements, including urgent and last-minute requests. •Maintain timely and consistent communication with Supervisors, Management, CSRs, customers, and team members to support smooth operations. What You Will Bring •At least 5 years of combined experience in warehouse operations and leadership, with hands-on experience as a Lead Hand. • Strong knowledge of best warehousing practices, inventory control, distribution center operations, and warehouse management systems. • Proficiency operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, and walkies. • Solid understanding of occupational health & safety standards and Transportation of Dangerous Goods regulations. • Effective communication, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving and decision-making in fast-paced environments.
