How does the role impact the organization?

Raymond James Ltd. is seeking a Financial Accountant to work in our downtown Vancouver office.

Reporting to the Manager, Finance, this position encompasses a wide variety of duties including accounts payable, financial and regulatory reporting, financial analysis, and ad hoc project work. This role will float between the functional areas of finance to provide support as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to gain a wide variety of experience necessary for growth opportunities. Therefore, a keen desire to learn and take on challenges is essential.

What will your role be responsible for?

- Manage Accounts Payable: Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely payments.
- Prepare Financial and Regulatory Reports: Compile and analyze financial statements and regulatory documents.
- Handle Ad Hoc Projects: Plan, execute, and report on various projects as needed.
- Provide Cross-Functional Support: Float between different areas of finance to offer support where required.
- Foster Growth and Learning: Embrace opportunities to learn and take on new challenges to gain diverse experience.

What do we expect from you?

To qualify for this opportunity you possess:

- Minimum 2 years of related accounting experience;
- Preference for candidates with CPA or CFA designation; or actively enrolled in such programs;
- Advanced skills in both Excel and Access;
- A thorough knowledge of financial accounting reconciliation processes;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Proven time management and analytical skills;
- Superior accuracy and attention to detail;
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and to maintain a full workload independently;
- Calm and professional demeanor;
- Positive, flexible, and willing to assist others as required;
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure;
- Proven ability to display leadership within small teams.

Salary Range: BC (based on Education, Work Experience, etc) $60,000-75,000 in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives.
