What your impact will be:

1. Leading and managing the planning and delivery of critical, highly complex and/or large projects;
2. Playing a key role in establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships;
3. Formulating and managing project plans;
4. Implementing and following a change management program;
5. Keeping stakeholders informed of progress via regular reports (status, escalations, etc.);
6. Identifying project dependencies and creating contingency plans to mitigate risk;
7. Leading the PMO in effectively coordinating required project resources and skills;
8. Ensuring that project activities are conducted in accordance with corporate policies, with project management best practices, and following the review and approval processes;
9. Managing project delivery to ensure schedule, budget, customer satisfaction, and quality expectations are met or exceeded;
10. Monitoring the effort and billing of third-party workers, such as consultants, contractors, and other specialists;
11. Conducting project postmortems to identify areas for improvement as well as making and implementing recommendations based on findings;
12. Collaborating with Sales and Solution Architects on the drafting of Statements of Work and estimations for delivery of projects;
13. Serving as a guide and advisor; training, coaching, and mentoring team to learn and apply standard framework, agile methodology techniques, and project management best practices;
14. Acting as a technical point of contact for questions/support within the Project Management team;
15. Leading initiatives to improve the Project Management practice and promote an accountability/ownership mindset among team members;
16. Supporting the annual performance review process by providing feedback on team members' performance;
17. Engaging with delivery leadership and cross-functional teams regarding Globys' project management practices;
18. Assisting in the recruitment efforts related to the Project Management team.

What we are looking for:

1. Minimum of 10 years of direct Project Management experience in the software industry;
2. Must possess knowledge and expertise in software development methodology;
3. Experience coaching/mentoring other Project Managers and/or Project Coordinators;
4. Ability to deliver objectives set by the management team;
5. Experience with the management of risk, change, issues, time, scope, resources, budget and quality;
6. In-depth understanding of all major activities for a business system implementation such as analysis, design, development, deployment;
7. Experience with a formal project management methodology;
8. Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team;
9. Highly motivated and driven to improve project management processes and operational efficiency;
10. CAPM, PMP and/or PMI-AC certification is preferred;
11. Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Business, or equivalent, would be considered an asset;
12. Experience with projects in the Utilities sector would be an asset but is not required;
13. Understanding of percent complete accounting methodology would be considered an asset.

What would make you stand out:

A business degree, such as an MBA, would be an asset.

Travel:

10% in North America. A valid visa or passport is required.
