Staff Developer (Frontend) at AgencyAnalytics

AgencyAnalytics seeks a T-shaped Staff Developer who excels across multiple technical domains while possessing deep expertise in specific problem areas. This role combines strategy, building, and mentorship, requiring comfort in writing production code and setting architectural direction for our B2B SaaS platform.

As a Staff Developer, you will engage in initiatives from the strategy and discovery phases, driving innovation and experimenting with new system architectures. You will coach and mentor the engineering team, setting the operating rhythm to ensure a balance of high efficiency and high quality alongside other technical leaders.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead cross-functional technical projects and build/review architectures for the Reporting and Core Experience squads.

- Establish and enforce coding standards, technical processes, and tooling across the entire engineering organization.

- Prioritize and manage multiple projects end-to-end, ensuring quality, stability, and timely delivery.

- Elevate code quality through rigorous code reviews and mentorship, actively seeking improvements in the codebase.

- Collaborate across teams to foster open communication regarding architecture, technical patterns, and complex problem solving.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

- 8+ years of experience in SaaS application development, including a proven history of successfully leading technical initiatives.

- Prior experience holding a Staff Developer title or higher, demonstrating readiness to perform at this senior level immediately.

- Hands‑on coding proficiency, especially with React and TypeScript, coupled with the ability to guide system‑wide architectural decisions.

- Expertise in architecting complex frontend systems, optimizing for performance, scale, and developer experience.

- Fluency in frontend performance best practices, including monitoring and optimizing UI experiences.

- Experience collaborating closely with Backend Engineers and UX/UI Designers to translate high‑level goals into scalable, elegant interfaces.

- Proven collaboration with other Staff members on foundational engineering and product development decisions.

- Comfortable utilizing AI tooling (e.g., for component generation, test code, or streamlining code review).

- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and operate effectively across all levels, from system architecture planning to pair programming with junior developers.

- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and collaborate, improving the skills of team members through code reviews and communication.

- Excellent delegation skills and proficiency in unblocking teams to maintain project momentum.

- Advocate for iterative architectural evolution and improvement over complete system rewrites.
