Robert Half is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Developer (Contractor) to help build a corporate Power BI dashboard that unifies data from multiple systems into a near–real-time organizational snapshot. This role will be instrumental in advancing data modernization efforts and ensuring the full BI pipeline from ingestion to visualization is scalable, accurate, and high performing.

What You’ll Do

Data Integration & Engineering

- Design and build data pipelines integrating multiple data sources into a Microsoft Fabric–based data warehouse.
- Analyze source systems to identify key data elements and quality requirements.
- Perform transformations and load data into warehouse tables following best-practice data architecture and modeling standards.

Data Modeling & Optimization

- Develop efficient data models, cubes, and views optimized for Power BI performance.
- Implement semantic models to support scalable reporting and analytics.

Power BI Development

- Build a corporate Power BI dashboard using predefined layouts, visuals, and data elements (no design skills needed).
- Ensure dashboards are accurate, fast, and aligned with internal reporting requirements.

Delivery & Collaboration

- Quickly learn the organization’s data landscape and business context.
- Work independently across the full BI stack.
- Troubleshoot data and performance issues, ensuring reliability and accuracy throughout.

What You Bring

- Strong experience building data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing (star schema, lakehouse, ETL/ELT best practices).
- Advanced skills in Power BI, including DAX, modeling, and performance tuning.
- Experience working with complex, multi-system data environments.
- Ability to operate autonomously and deliver production-ready solutions.

Nice to Have

- Experience in organizations undergoing data modernization.
- Familiarity with KPI frameworks or enterprise reporting standards.
