Technical Writer with IT Focus in Ottawa

If you excel in document lifecycle management and technical documentation, this role is tailored for you. As a Technical Writer, you will engage in developing and managing a variety of documents, such as manuals, policies, and training materials. This position requires significant experience in IT infrastructure documentation, particularly in LAN/WAN and server environments. Your collaboration with SMEs and usage of tools like MS Office and Confluence will ensure high-quality outputs that benefit clients and internal stakeholders alike.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and edit documentation for procedures and training
• Collaborate with subject matter experts for in-depth documentation
• Utilize editing tools for clear and effective communication
• Assess and refine existing document formats and layouts
• Manage document lifecycle with appropriate version control

Requirements:
• Five years’ experience in technical writing and IT
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure and documentation standards
• Experience creating online help and training materials
