About the Opportunity
- Tax Compliance & Planning
- Prepare and review complex personal, trust, estate, and corporate tax returns.
- Develop tax strategies for income splitting, estate planning, charitable giving, and cross-border matters.
- Advise on tax-efficient structures for businesses and investment entities.
- Prepare personal tax returns as needed, particularly during tax season.
- Family Office Support
- Manage cash flow, payments, budgeting, and reconciliations.
- Prepare net worth summaries, investment statements, and financial reports.
- Support estate planning with accurate asset and tax basis tracking.
- Oversee charitable contributions and private foundation reporting.
- Assist with projects like real estate, private investments, or luxury asset management.
- Financial & Wealth Planning
- Collaborate on financial plans with partners and client managers.
- Draft planning memos for estate, insurance, and corporate strategies.
- Help clients gather financial documents and interpret key reports.
- Review and adjust financial plans based on life events or market changes.
- Liaise with external advisors to ensure a cohesive client strategy.
- Client Communication & Reporting
- Present financial plans clearly and confidently to clients.
- Explain tax implications and financial reports in simple terms.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and their advisory teams.
About You
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work under deadlines.
- Proficient in financial planning software (Naviplan) and advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience in personal tax compliance; familiarity with Taxprep is considered a strong asset.
- CPA designation required, with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in public accounting, ideally with exposure to private clients or high-net-worth individuals.
- CFP certification is considered an asset, reflecting a commitment to comprehensive financial planning.
- A continuous learner with genuine curiosity about clients and their unique financial needs; stays informed on evolving practices, tools, and regulations.
- Thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability, initiative, and a collaborative mindset.
Salary Range
$95,000 - $110,000 / year
