Qualus is looking for a knowledgeable Protection & Controls Designer II to strengthen its Transmission & Distribution Canada team. This role demands someone with 3-5 years of experience, ready to contribute to design deliverables and project executions. Support the design of protection, control, and metering systems while collaborating in diverse project environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design protection and control systems for electrical substations
• Create one-line diagrams and protection schematics
• Prepare engineering documents, including specifications and test plans
• Review vendor drawings for alignment with project specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design coordination
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 3-5 years of power systems or substation design experience
• Familiarity with utility standards and industry codes
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and related tools
• Strong communication and analytical skills Contribute to innovative utility projects and enhance your technical expertise with Qualus.
