THEIMPACT OF THIS ROLE Cleanguest rooms as assigned, ensuring the hotel's established standards ofcleanliness. Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handlingguest requests or complaints. Ensures the confidentiality and security of allguest rooms. KEYRESPONSIBILITIES ·Maintain completeknowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards. ·Ensure that standardsare maintained at a superior level on a daily basis. ·Use correct cleaningchemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements. ·Clean guest roomsby category priority. ·Use Housekeeping mobilepacks with cleaning supplies, amenities and linens to assigned guest room andposition securely. ·Use the clock wiseor anti clock wise when you start cleaning the room ·Service assigned guestrooms. ·Empty trash containersand ashtrays. ·Remove all dirty terryand replace with clean par to designated layout ·Remove soil, dirt,soap build-up and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls,bathtub, shower curtain and floor. ·Replace facial, toilettissue and bathroom amenities in correct amount and location. ·Inspect conditionof bathrobes and replace soiled/damaged ones. (Put the damage ones away so theywill not be mixed with the dirty robes and towels) ·Remove dirty bed linenand make up bed with clean linen. ·If the linen hasblood, fluid, make a knot on the sheet and place it in clear plastic bag to be washedand treated separately. ·Replace laundry bagsand slips. ·Clean closets anddoor tracks on check-out rooms, removing dust and debris. Ensure correct amountand. placement of hangers, extra blanket/pillow and luggage rack. Check there areno stains on the sheers and drapes, call the housekeeping office to send ahouseman to spot clean these areas. ·Dust and wipe downall furniture with clean rags. ·Realign furnitureto floor plan. (Do not move the furniture back to its original position if the guestrequested that) ·Open all drawers/doorsin check-out rooms and remove items left by guest guests inside. ·Check under bed(s),chairs and sofa for debris and remove if present. ·Inspect conditionof all furniture for tears, rips or stains; report any damages to the supervisor. ·Remove all dust, debrisand foreign particles from upholstered furniture including crevices and under cushions. ·Dust pictures, framesand mirrors. ·Remove dust and debrison television, clock radio, remote control and cable box. ·Set correct time onclock; correct TV channel; correct movie rental insert. ·Clean all lamps andlight switches; check for proper working order. ·Remove dust, spotsand smears from windows, ledges and frames. ·Remove dust, greaseand smears from telephones and reposition properly. ·Empty liquid fromice bucket and wipe all surfaces dry. ·Remove dust smudgesand spills from mini bar (including doors and shelves; ensure it is plugged in andsecurely locked. ·Remove dust on drapesweekly and realign to correct position daily. (Check of stains) ·Inspect conditionof amenities in desk, drawers and guest service directory; replace designated amountsat proper locations within the room. ·Remove trash, debrisand cobwebs from balcony/patio (if available) ·Inspect conditionof planters and plants; remove debris. ·Remove dust, dirt,marks and fingerprints from entrance door(s). ·Remove dust, dirtand smudges from A/C unit, vents, grids and thermostat Set thermostat in accordancewith seasonal instructions. ·Remove dust, stainsand marks from all baseboards, ledges and corners. ·Vacuum carpet in guestroom. ·Update status of roomscleaned on assignment sheet ·Record all theguest requests (if the guest communicated a special request while on the floore.g. daily special cleaning time), also record if the guest placed the DND or refusedservice so if could be given in the turn down. ·Empty vacuum bag andwipe vacuum clean, place it bag in its original locations ·Ensure security ofany assigned guest room keys. Report immediately y for any suspicious act on thefloors to your supervisor. ·Report immediatelyfor any strange item in room (too much blood, gun. etc.) to your supervisor. ·Inform your supervisoror manager for any guest complaints
