POSITION SUMMARY:
To design, develop, and maintain BI solutions (like dashboards, reports, and data models) that help New Flyer stakeholders understand business performance and make data-driven decisions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Data Integration & ETL
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses or BI platforms.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
- Report & Dashboard Development
- Create interactive dashboards and reports
- Collaboration with Stakeholders
- Work closely with business analysts and business stakeholders to understand requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Performance Optimization
- Optimize queries and reports for performance and scalability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot BI systems.
- Documentation & Training
- Document BI solutions and processes.
- Train end-users on how to use BI tools effectively.
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Post‑secondary education in a Business or STEM field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Any combination of training and/or certifications in Data Science, Statistics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision are preferred
- Two years of experience with databases, ETL, and data warehousing. Oracle, Fabric and Snowflake preferred.
- Two years of experience with designing, developing and deploying BI products
- Proficient in Python and SQL programming.
- Expert with BI visualization tools. Power BI preferred.
