Key responsibilities
include managing legal risks, overseeing the drafting of contracts, and ensuring compliance with laws affecting sports and non-profits. This position also supports governance practices and provides guidance on employment and human rights matters.
Key Responsibilities
• Advise Executives on legal and governance matters.
• Monitor and recommend changes regarding legal trends.
• Negotiate and draft commercial agreements and contracts.
• Support development of governance documentation and policies.
• Oversee compliance on labor relations and member interactions.
Requirements:
• Law degree and good standing with a Canadian law society.
• 4-7 years of progressive legal experience.
• Knowledge of corporate and not-for-profit law.
• Experience with governance and regulatory compliance.
• Bilingualism preferred, additional languages an asset. Bring your expertise in legal strategy and governance to advance Canada Soccer's mission in a collaborative environment.
