What You'll Do:

1. Responsible for 24x7 availability of SAP systems running in SAP ECS.
2. Respond, troubleshoot and resolve alerts and incidents.
3. Act as an escalation point for productive issues at the LLD Level (Last Line of Defense).
4. Follow change management processes during service request execution.
5. Seek opportunities to streamline standard operating procedures through automation.
6. Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and flexible environment within a global 24x7 International team.
7. Drive projects to optimize how HANA Enterprise Cloud operates various SAP solutions, including onboarding new solutions and validating new application versions.
8. Design and implement countermeasures to prevent issue repetition for all Enterprise Cloud customers.
9. Conduct knowledge transfer to the global Operations community and create technical documentation, including operational concepts, process flows, and guidelines.

What You'll Bring:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technologies Management.
2. Solid understanding of SAP application technology used by ECS, especially S/4HANA and SAP ABAP from a Basis technology perspective (SAP NetWeaver certification highly beneficial).
3. Experience in at least one non-NetWeaver technology: BOBJ, SAP Cloud Connector, Convergent Charging, OpenText, HANA XSA, Kubernetes/SAP Gardener, etc.
4. Proven experience in agile Project Management (e.g., SCRUM, Kanban).
5. Strong capabilities in technical documentation.
6. Ability to continuously acquire new knowledge independently and proactively.
7. Good analytical and solution-oriented thinking.
8. Excellent communication and networking skills, able to interact with customers on technical, service, and operations topics up to senior management level.
9. Very good English language skills.

Work Experience:

1. 12+ years experience as Technical SAP NetWeaver (ABAP and Java Basis administration) and/or non-NetWeaver engineer on L3 or higher-level operations/support teams.
2. Strong working knowledge in Linux and Windows operating systems.
3. Strong working knowledge in HANA, Sybase ASE, and/or other Database management systems.
4. Strong analytical skills, working in RCA and problem management area.
5. Strong knowledge in managing technical documentation and knowledge productization.

Within the Customer Services and Delivery (CS&D) board area, the mission of the Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) organization is to run and operate SAP's private cloud offering. The ECS Delivery Technical Operations teams run the HANA Enterprise Cloud and are responsible for the operation of OS, Databases, and Applications as well as providing 24/7 support for our customers.

SAP believes in pay transparency and provides the annualized compensation range for this position, which is 156000 - 265100 CAD. The actual amount offered will depend on various factors.
