Purpose of the Role:

Are you an exceptional Payroll & Benefits Specialist who wants to play a key role in the financial operations of our firm? This is a hybrid role based in our Vancouver offices.

Core Responsibilities:

- Act as the subject matter expert for payroll and benefits and is the main point of contact for all payroll and benefits inquiries from employees.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all payroll related transactions.
- Process semi-monthly payroll for both employees, contractors and associate advisors of the firm.
- Compile and analyze all payroll related reports and remittances following each payroll run.
- Lead and manage the end-to-end administration for the company benefit plans and ensuring accuracy and timely enrollment and termination.
- Conduct monthly payroll audits, reconciliations, and GL balancing.
- Finalize wages, statutory deductions, and remit payroll taxes (WorkSafe, WSIB, EHT).
- Manage month-end tasks, accruals, and GL reconciliations.
- Maintain employee records, process ROEs, and handle new hires/departures.
- Execute year-end payroll activities, including YTD adjustments and T4/T4A/T2200 preparation.
- Administer RRSP contributions and related reporting.
- Maintain payroll process documents and liaise with CRA, Service Canada, and auditors.
- Support Finance with financial statements, budgets, and reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- A minimum of 3 years of full-cycle payroll and benefits experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping accounting experience.
- A deep understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and regulations (taxation, employment standards, Worker's Compensation, Employment Insurance, and benefits).
- PCP designation, Dayforce Payroll, and Workday experience are assets.
- Strong communication, writing, and discretion with confidential information.
- Proficient in MS Excel with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Effective time management, multitasking, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work independently or collaboratively with exceptional attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits Package:

This position comes with a base salary range of $69,000 – $79,000 plus a competitive performance bonus.
